    Description
    Outrider is a software company that is automating distribution yards with electric, self-driving trucks. Our system eliminates manual tasks that are hazardous and repetitive while it improves safety and efficiency. Outrider's mission is to drive the rapid adoption of sustainable freight transportation.

    We are a private company founded in 2018 and backed by NEA, 8VC, Koch Disruptive Technologies, and other top-tier investors.

    Our customers are Fortune 200 companies and our autonomous trucks are already running in distribution yards.

    You are joining the Software Foundations and Architecture team (SoFA) where you will be responsible for leading the Cloud Apps team for Outrider's autonomous trucks.

    These teams are collaborative and committed to continuous improvement.

    The Cloud Apps Manager will report to the Senior Manager of Software Foundations and Architecture, and support the architecting, planning, and execution of the Cloud Apps team.

    This position requires proven people management and team-building skills. It is desirable to have comprehensive technical, cloud architecture, and cloud development skills.
    Support long term planning, scheduling and budgeting
    Manage the day-to-day of team members
    Lead the development and implementation of Outrider's product security strategy

    Contribute generally to the growth and success of the Company and the building of a vibrant culture focused on the responsible deployment of zero-emission autonomous vehicle technology.

    Proven experience managing teams with highly diverse skill sets
    ~ Experience evaluating and integrating external services and software
    ~ Full stack web based application engineering experience
    ~ Experience with implementing and supporting secure performant web applications and APIs
    ~ 5+ years of technical experience
    ~4+ years of team management experience

    Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum
    Ownership of projects from day one, highly collaborative teams and a dynamic work environment
    ~100% Remote work set up, flexible work schedule (Flex time - off policy)
