    Description

    Architectural Project Manager

    ZO1 Ltd is a progressive architectural firm specializing in small to large-scale, high-density and multi-phase developments from concept design to construction completion. We are a group of passionate architects who has extensive design and development experience in the Greater Toronto Area.

    Our portfolio of work is diverse. We are currently working on a wide range of projects from low to high-rise to large scale urban intensification development. Most of our projects are working directly with established developers in the Greater Toronto Area.

    Qualifications:

    · Min 5 years' experience in architectural design focusing on Design Development of project from Site Plan Approval to Building Permit and Tender phase in Ontario/ GTA context. Experience and expertise particularly in high density residential, hotel / commercial projects design.

    · Successfully graduated of Architecture program, we support successful candidate to be OAA licenced but not essential for this position

    · Able to communicate concept/ details by sketches and develop/ execute in Revit.

    · Understand wall/ ceiling types and building science on envelope and carry forward the elevation design and materials use to develop plan/ section details. Able to set out the wall, floor, slab edge with proper relationship for development of working drawings.

    · Able to detect issues from different engineering issues from their drawings and take the lead to coordinate with relevant consultants to complete Building Permit drawings and tender drawings. Fully understand the arch dwgs impact due to changes resulting from the coordination.

    · Able to understand the design brief by understanding client brief, research on various bylaws, OBC and urban design principles/ guidelines. Continue to execute the detail to meet the requirements.

    • Able to be a progress driver in the project and hold consultants meeting, draft action list and working schedule for consultants and internal team for drawings update. Able to communicate with clients, consultants and internal team members.

    · Dedicated to meeting project deadlines

    · Excellent time management skills. Able to manage a number of tasks on multiple projects simultaneously

    · Able to provide and receive feedback positively

    · Precise attention to detail for final deliverables independently.

    Responsibilities and Duties:

    · Able to produce sketches for design development to communicate the details for design development with consultants and internal production team.

    · Able to lead to setup and organize the preparation of design development / Building Permit drawings from SPA level drawings.

    · Understand roles of various consultants in a design development stage and before Building permit. Able to coordinate with consulting engineers and landscape architects

    · Possess a working knowledge of the Ontario Building Code (OBC), Bylaws, client brief, and urban design principles and include the consideration in design development of the project.

    · Proficient knowledge in the use of building materials and related construction techniques

    · Must be capable of working on multiple projects at on time.

    · Assist with applications for planning approvals and building permits
