    Description

    TOOR Hotel Toronto, a JdV hotel by Hyatt is seeking a dedicated, kind, hard-working and driven Director of Sales to join our family.

    Our new-build 232 room hotel features guest offerings that are as vibrant, inspired and culturally alive as Toronto and the Garden District around us.

    The Director of Sales drives all revenues, plans and responsibility for long range and day-to-day hotel operations.

    Reporting to the General Manager, and in keeping with our guidelines this person is responsible for maximizing sales, guest and team satisfaction.

    This key person communicates with hotel owners and corporate offices, ensuring the development and execution of strategic sales and marketing initiatives.

    Grow new business and solicit new accounts;


    • Direct the efforts of the sales team through effective communication while overseeing rate, date and space commitments for room and catering sales;
    • Interview, hire, train, recommend, resolve and provide open communication;
    • Compile reports to include annual and monthly forecast, budget, lead management system, booking reports, market share reports and sales initiatives;
    • Coordinate ongoing research to detect market trends for development of new sales strategies;
    • Develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients;
    • Initiate preparation of annual plans and execute plans as outlined, adjusting as necessary by current market conditions.
    Previous experience as Director of Sales at a hotel;


    • Hotel opening experience is an asset;
    • Manga Hotel Group is a privately held Canadian company involved in the acquisition, development, and management of real estate with a focus on high quality hotels affiliated with prestigious brands such as Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, and InterContinental Hotel Group. Currently, Manga Hotels owns and operates 28 hotels with over 5000 rooms, 15 food and beverage outlets and 5 residential properties with a number of new properties and developments in the pipeline.
