We are looking for a Business Development Manager to help us expand our presence across the Power & Utilities, Infrastructure, and Industrial Sector in the United States, through collaborative partnerships and working relationships.

  • Senior Account Manager - Role & Responsibilities:
  • Business Development - define business development and marketing activities; maintain a network of senior and working level client relationships for developing new and follow-on business. This includes lead generation, opportunity development, responding to daily account requests, RFQs and RFPs.
  • Manage multiple accounts through a drafted Account Plans, of which help organize and communicate customer goals, objectives, and tasks.
  • Engagement & Pursuit Strategy Development – working with internal and external delivery teams and partners to actively push forward your plan and win new business.
  • Manage executive level client relationships, and key stakeholders within accounts like Supply Chain and Project Teams to actively understand client constraints, opportunities and turn these factors into potential solution offerings.
  • Promote PTAG brand across our target Ontario market by shaping opportunities and relationships; participate and represent PTAG at industry forums, conferences, and events.
  • Target markets: Utility & Infrastructure Sector.
  • Maintain sales reporting requirements, present quarterly territory updates to the company, and maintain target financial targets.
  • Work with internal Marketing, Operations and Project teams to develop and grow new business and services for the company.
  • Assess the competitive landscape and derive strategies for growth, this will be supported by Sales Coordinator and Marketing team.
  • Regular customer engagements including in-person and virtual meetings, sales calls, presentations. Routinely introduce the company principals and subject matter experts to clients showcasing company capabilities and people.
  • Act as a co-ordination and liaison between project and customers teams upon post-award, and act as a commercial/relationship sponsor for the work PTAG signed up to deliver.
  • Plan approaches and pitches. Work with team to develop proposals that speaks to the client's needs, concerns, and objectives.
  • Participate and take the lead in pricing the solution/services.
  • 25%-40% travel, or as required.
  • Observe current state of sales organization and identify areas for improvement and associated solutions.
  • Work with Partner - Business Development to implement change and build out sales process and organization.

  • Owner Representative Services – PMO, PMC, OE, IPT
  • Managed Services – Project, Construction, Project Control, Quality, Contracts/Procurement and Project Service Management Contracts; by discipline or as part of an overall Program Management contract
  • Project Management Systems
  • Project Management Information Systems - Digital Transformations
  • Assessment and Scoping, Technology Selection & Procurement Support, Integration
  • Hosted Service
  • PM Software as Service
  • Secondment Services – provision of ad-hoc project management multi-disciplinary professionals for short or long-term support. Key is to promote integrated project concept.
  • Qualifications / Requirements:
  • Post- Secondary Education – Engineering, Business, Economics, Marketing, and/or combination of Industry experience. Professional Engineering Licenses, and/or MBA is an asset.
  • Experience drafting, administering, and leading internal account plans.
  • Must have a track record of managing project service delivery agreements in an account management capacity.
  • Certificate Programs & Training related to Professional Selling, Consultative/Solution Selling
  • Driven, self-starting Personality, and goal orientated mindset is key as this position will be based remote. Position could also be based in Houston subject to the location of the successful proponent.
  • Track record of leading and winning sales pursuits and engagements involving multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating and facilitating strategy and solution mapping workshops.
  • Excellent communication, and presentation skills. Will be asked to demonstrate proposal writing capability, and examples of sales presentations.
  • Excellent MS Office skills, able to prepare PPT Presentations, experience with SharePoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Experience maintaining CRM, and/or an excel based Sales Reporting Environment.
