    Mamann Sandaluk LLP is a full-service immigration law firm in downtown Toronto. We are currently seeking a Legal Assistant to join our team to assist the senior partner.


    Job Type:
    Full-time, Permanent, On-Site


    Salary:
    Commensurate with experience, generous benefits package

    To qualify for this role, you must have:

    • University/College/Associate Degree an asset
    • 1 or more years of experience in Canadian immigration processing
    • Knowledge of Canadian immigration practices and procedures
    - in office productivity software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) and other relevant tools

    • Strong English communication skills
    - and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity
    - and self-motivated attitude with a strong sense of initiative
    - to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
    - attention to detail and accuracy


    Main responsibilities include:

    • Printing, scanning, photocopying, faxing, and saving applicants' documents
    • Preparing courier envelopes and labels and if required, assisting with tracking courier deliveries
    • Assisting with the collation and preparation of files for submission
    • Ensuring that all correspondence and forms are recorded in an internal database and that all fields are completed and updated
    • Preparing forms and material according to established procedures
    • Conducting basic research (for example, compiling information for cases)
    • Pulling reports from client management systems
    • Monitoring emails and shared inboxes and responding accordingly
    • Sending invoices to clients and followup to ensure collection of receivables
    • Preparing applications for various Temporary and Permanent immigration cases, including Visitor visas, Work Permits (Post-Graduate Work Permits, Spousal Open Work Permits, etc.), Study Permits, Permanent Residency (Family Class Sponsorships), Citizenship
    • Manage calendars, schedule appointments, meetings, and conferences, ensuring optimal time management
    - confidential information with utmost discretion and professionalism
