    Business Analyst (Location:
    Hybrid - Kingston or York Mills)

    Empire Life is looking to hire a Business Analyst to join our Retail Operations team

    Play an integral role - this is an opportunity that allows for you to grow your skills, while directly contributing to the business unit you are a part of.

    Elicit requirements leveraging experience and discretion to apply an appropriate mix of approaches: interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis
    Delivering solutions that not only meet but exceed stakeholder objectives through the meticulous application of manual validation techniques.
    Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal stakeholders to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: business requirements document, use cases, GUI, prototypes, screen and interface designs
    Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans
    Collaborate with designers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs
    Ensure solutions meet stakeholder objectives by collaborating with quality assurance professionals and subject matter experts; perform/support user acceptance testing efforts as required
    Provides business and system expertise along with research/analysis services that support the design, delivery and maintenance of quality applications and enhancements
    Implements business requirements and process change initiatives to ensure that all specifications meet the objectives of the Company
    Ensures process change along with appropriate communication for integration into business unit operations

    Post secondary degree or diploma and/or equivalent work experience
    ~3+ years work experience as a Business Analyst and/or in insurance/financial services industry
    ~2+ Years experience working in Scrum based teams and creation of User Stories, or equivalent training
    ~ Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks or projects
    ~ Experience with various project delivery methodologies such as Waterfall and/or Agile
    ~ Experience working on web applications
    ~ Experience in process analysis and improvement and quality management concepts
