    Job Summary

    The Learning & Organizational Development Specialist responsibilities include consulting and collaborating with a broad range of clients across the organization to support their goals and objectives. The primary focus is leading the design, development, delivery and evaluation of programs and services that support and build on individual, team and organizational capacity. Core priorities involve supporting strategies for optimizing the employee experience, engagement, leadership development, learning, change management, teamwork and culture, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic priorities.

    KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Lead the needs assessment process with clients to research and develop relevant solutions including interventions, development plans, customized learning, facilitated sessions.
    • Prepare and provide recommendations to Sr. Manager as they relate to learning & organizational development practices & solutions that positively impact the organization and drive the City's culture.
    • Develop new and refine existing learning programs including the mandatory learning and select-in programming.
    • Successful development facilitation and delivery of individual, team, group and leadership development programs.
    • Promote and support process improvement activities to refine existing processes within departments and across the organization for increased effectiveness and efficiency.
    • Identify outsourcing relationships, develop and manage vendor relationships, and secure and select vendors through the organization's procurement processes.
