    About the work environment:
    Peoples Group provides a flexible hybrid work setup, allowing a blend of office and remote work. The standard schedule is Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with some flexibility.

    We are hiring for this role in our Toronto and Vancouver offices. Candidates from other areas must be willing to relocate within a commutable distance.

    About you:

    You are an experienced regulatory compliance professional eager to join a dynamic fintech and banking company. Your expertise lies in managing compliance for new business lines efficiently. Working with your team, you ensure adherence to laws and regulations, fostering strong relationships with stakeholders.

    As a leader at Peoples Group, you are focused on engagement, performance, and strengths. Understanding the business and team contributions to success is key.

    About the qualifications:

    • 5+ years experience in advisory compliance within financial services.
    • Minimum 2 years partnering with Canadian regulators.
    • Relevant post-secondary education.
    • Extensive policy writing experience.
    • Knowledge of risk management frameworks.
    • Strong analytical skills.
    • Proficiency in technology and data analysis.
    • Expertise in compliance tools and payment platforms.
    • Self-motivated with autonomy.

    About the day-to-day:

    • Lead and develop direct reports.
    • Manage control design and risk assessments.
    • Ensure regulatory compliance through testing.
    • Handle regulatory investigations and incidents.
    • Provide compliance guidance to internal teams.
    • Manage a small team and multiple projects.

    Compensation:
    Peoples Group offers a competitive salary with profit-sharing opportunities. The annual salary for this role ranges from $100,000 to $130,000 based on skills and experience. Shortlisted candidates will discuss salary expectations during the interview.
