    Description
    Voluntary Life Administrator (Bilingual)

    The Voluntary Life Administrator provides administrative and customer service related services to Voluntary Life Insurance Plans, in such a way as to enable the smooth operation and administration of the Group Life Insurance Plans.

    In addition he/she is to provide direct liaison with the members of these groups.

    The Voluntary Life Administrator is responsible for the processing of a variety of administrative duties such as applications, death claims, deposits, waivers, database maintenance, filing/records management; and/or works on related special administrative assignments .


    Technical Activities:
    Adding, changing, and deleting coverage in database systems and ledgers
    Entering regular deposits and cheques in the accounting database.
    Consulting experts or policy manuals to determine the best course of action as required.
    General Administration

    Electronic data and document maintenance to include scanning, faxing, filing, destroying, photocopying, data entry and any processes required to prepare documents for these actions.

    Verifying work and data in the scope of the position for accuracy and completion.
    Sorting and logging applications, mail, e-mails, faxes, and other incoming work.

    Maintaining the company's Time Information Management System by reporting time spent on tasks required to carry out the duties of this position.

    At least 1 year of related work experience in an office environment is expected.

    A good understanding of the administration of Life Insurance Benefits and related terminology.
    Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office and standard office administration procedures.
    Excellent grammatical, spelling, and communication skills in both official languages (English & French).
    Superior data entry skills, as well as strong mathematical and reconciliation skills.
    The ability to adhere to existing company policies and procedures.
    Experience in the administration of benefits for unionized environments.
