    ABOUT MASTERCARD FOUNDATION

    The Mastercard Foundation collaborates with forward-thinking organizations to promote education and financial inclusion for young people in Africa and Indigenous youth in Canada. Established in 2006, the Foundation operates independently from Mastercard, with offices in various locations.


    YOUR TEAM

    As an early member and HR specialist, you will collaborate with teams across MFAM, the Mastercard Foundation, and external partners. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will support all business functions at MFAM, offering growth opportunities and impactful contributions to the Foundation's mission.


    WHAT TO EXPECT

    Take part in launching a globally impactful organization from the ground up.

    In the initial 6-12 months, your focus will be on:

    • Recruitment and talent acquisition
    • Establishing HR infrastructure, processes, and policies to align with our vision and values


    Key responsibilities in developing the Human Resources model include:

    • Managing all recruitment activities
    • Ensuring smooth onboarding of new hires
    • Defining role success profiles for recruitment and performance evaluation
    • Leading talent management initiatives
    • Implementing HR policies and compliance
    • Driving programs for culture and engagement
    • Establishing organization-wide performance management processes
    • Handling employee relations and other People and Performance projects
    • Developing a Media Strategy


    REQUIREMENTS

    • Over 10 years of HR experience with a focus on talent selection
    • Background in financial services, preferably asset/investment management
    • Experience in collaborating with senior leadership and meeting deadlines
    • Familiarity with process improvement frameworks
    • Strong data management and communication skills
    • Passion for visionary assignments and organizational development
