    We are looking for a skilled Compensation and Benefits Specialist to join our HR team at our Toronto, ON or Mississauga, ON office. In this role, you will develop and implement competitive compensation and benefits programs in Canada and the US to attract and retain top talent. Your responsibilities will include ensuring fair employee compensation and comprehensive benefits packages. Your expertise will contribute to high employee satisfaction and engagement levels.

  • Work with clients to establish a Total Rewards strategy for the organization, and its business units, based on strategic requirements including compensation, benefits and wellness elements.
  • Lead the job evaluation process, including maintaining job descrinptions, and estanlishing classifications based on the processjob classification, maintain the organization's job evaluation system, job classification including job evalution, leveling, classification determine the job level and classification and maintain a comprehensive job evaluation system for the organization.
  • Benchmark jobs against survey data and other market intelligence to determine competitive pay for the jobs.
  • Provide analytical support and subsequent recommendations to local client-facing HR and Talent Acquisition on compensation related events (e.g., hiring, promotions, transfers, demotions etc.)
  • Prepare and present job and total rewards analysis requested by the business.
  • Gather data from market-based surveys and assess market trends, prepare analysis of findings and propose recommendations based on those findings.
  • Review compensation and benefit trends in Canada and the US to understand the markets, assess strategies, and propose recommended courses of action.
  • Collect data and perform cost analysis to be used for employee negotiations and collective bargaining, and act as a subject matter expert with the negotiations team.
  • Support the annual compensation cycles across North America.
  • Develop and document total rewards procedures to streamline processes and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Guide and train HR on total rewards processes and ensure adherence to the process.
  • Partner with HRIS to administer and maintain total rewards processes in Workday.
  • OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE;

  • Minimum 5 years' Experience working in a similar role dedicated to Total Rewards including job evaluation, benefits design and administration in a complex organization.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A relevant certification such as CEBS, CCP, CHRP, CHRL is highly preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of designing and managing compensation and benefits programs.
  • Minimum 5 years' Experience working in a similar role dedicated to Total Rewards including job evaluation, benefits design and administration in a complex organization.
  • Strong knowledge of MSOffice, including Excel, and HCM, preferably Workday.
  • WORK AUTHORIZATIONS AND TRAVEL;

  • Up to 5-10% travel may be required.
