    Senior Cyber Security Specialist (Risk)

    Location :
    Toronto – Downtown (Hybrid, 3 days/week on site)

    Our client, a leading retailer and wholesaler, is currently seeking a Senior Cyber Security Specialist (Risk) to join their dynamic team in Toronto.

    This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact by providing guidance on security risk management and mitigation strategies.

    As a Senior Cyber Security Specialist, you will play a key role in providing subject matter expertise to multiple lines of business concerning new services, products, and projects.

    You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure security requirements align with project objectives and strategic goals.

    Your responsibilities will include conducting in-depth security analyses, producing clear Threat Risk Assessment (TRA) reports, and offering expert guidance on security risk mitigation strategies and control implementation.

    Additionally, you will lead cybersecurity projects, contribute to the development of cybersecurity policies and standards, and lead cybersecurity awareness campaigns.

    At least 2 years of experience working as a cybersecurity practitioner.
    Previous experience doing risk assessments.
    Familiarity with industry security standards such as NIST, PCI DSS, CIS, ISO, COBIT, etc.
    Understanding of threat hunting techniques is an asset.
    Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CEH, OSCP, or equivalent are an asset.
    Experience assessing RFPs or contracts from a cybersecurity perspective is an asset.
