    Description

    Our client is a dedicated organization providing high-quality pre-hospital care to Nova Scotians through a long-term performance-based contract with the provincial government's Emergency Health Services (EHS) division. Our team consists of more than 1,600 highly-trained paramedics, nurses, medical communication officers, support employees, and skilled leaders, working together to ensure the best possible medical care for our community.

    THE JOB

    The role involves handling various administrative tasks such as managing correspondence including emails, memos, reports, agendas, and presentations, drafting replies as needed, and ensuring grammatical accuracy and content coherence. Additionally, responsibilities extend to organizing meetings, travel arrangements, and conference bookings, compiling reports and expense claims, reconciling statements, and managing communication tools like phone messages and emails. The position also entails coordinating reporting deliverables, running reports from various platforms, monitoring file retention guidelines, processing invoices, and maintaining filing systems. Furthermore, the role involves supporting various teams with tasks like data entry, scanning, and accounts payable processing, as well as assisting with special projects and assignments as required.

    Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm

    REQUIREMENTS

    The ideal candidate for this administrative position should possess a minimum of one-year business college course or equivalent education, along with five to seven years of related administrative experience, preferably within a finance or accounting department. Extensive knowledge of internal administrative systems and practices in private industry is required. Essential skills include superior diplomacy, professionalism, and confidentiality, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, effective multitasking and deadline management, strong customer service orientation, self-motivation, and teamwork. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and database management is necessary, with experience in Workday being an asset. The candidate must demonstrate sound judgment, exceptional organizational and time management skills, flexibility in task allocation, and the ability to perform well under pressure and within strict deadlines.
