    The Director - Medical Staff Education, Engagement and Strategic Initiatives leads and establishes medical staff education, engagement and strategic initiatives on behalf of the Regional Director/VP Medicine and the Northern Health Medical Advisory Committee to build a community of medical staff and medical leaders who are co-leaders in the health care system.

    The Director works in consultation with NH physician leaders and various parts of the organization to ensure a co-leadership approach to key strategic initiatives, including cultural safety and humility, psychological health and safety, equity, diversity and inclusion, as well as communications.

    The Director also works closely with various provincial partners to identify opportunities for new resources that will facilitate medical staff education, leadership and engagement in key strategic initiatives for Northern Health.

    Starting salary will be approximately from $128,298 to $160,372 and will be based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions.

    Qualfications


    • Master's Degree in a related discipline such as Health Care or Business Administration.
    • Five to Seven (5-7) years related experience in a senior position in a large and complex health care setting.
    • An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

    • Thorough knowledge and proven record fostering, developing, and implementing organizational change.

    • In-depth knowledge and understanding of systems thinking.
    • Develops coalitions by building partnerships & networks to create results, navigates socio-political environments.
    • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence, unify, energize, and motivate people in a highly dynamic environment.
    • Proficiency in the use of office software applications as effective tools in the role of a senior manager.
    • Models and supports full team commitment to Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism.
    • Exceptional relationship-building and consensus-making skills to solve complex issues.
