The Intern, Development & Engineering Services, under the direction and guidance of DES staff and management, will provide clerical and field work across Development and Engineering Services (DES).

Under direction and guidance of DES staff and management, assists and supports business units within the division with basic clerical work.

Assists staff with data entry and the coordination of data requests.
Assists staff with the basic review/screening of Planning Act, EA legislation, Ontario Regulation permit applications and general inquiries.
Assists staff and management with minor studies, basic projects, basic reports, and minor applications.
Under the direction and guidance of DES staff and management, provides assistance with field work.
Education (degree/diploma/certifications/licenses)
~ Currently enrolled in, or recently completed, a post-secondary program in Planning, Resource Management, Urban Geography, Biology, Ecology, Environmental Engineering.

Proficiency in MS Office suite including online software such as MS teams, WebEx, and SharePoint.
