The Ministry of Health's Health Benefits Digital Office (HBDO) partners with Heath Insurance BC (HIBC) business areas to develop business strategy and roadmaps for PharmaCare and Medical Service Plan Claims programs; and oversees IT projects and operations for services delivered under Alternative Service Delivery contracts.

The Business Analyst reports to the HBDO Senior Business Consultant.

The Business Analyst works collaboratively with the HBDO team, the HIBC service provider, Ministry of Health program areas, and other stakeholders as required in project planning and execution.

Bachelor's degree in a computer science field and 2 years of related experience; Diploma in a computer science field and 3 years related experience; Certificate or coursework in a computer science field and 4 years related experience; Experience providing business analysis related to integrated custom applications with complex business processes, preferably in a Microsoft environment.

Experience with the installation, configuration, maintenance and problem resolution of hardware, software, operating systems and network components.
Experience using change management processes and project management methodologies.
