    An Exciting Project Manager vacancy with an engineering consulting firm to work on rail projects in Toronto.

    This position is suited towards Project Manager candidates with 10 years of experience with a passion for providing excellence in the infrastructure sector.

    It is a fantastic job opportunity for a premium Project Manager candidate who is seeking to develop their skill set and enhance their career with an established employer.

    Project Details
    The employer's portfolio of work includes fast-paced rail projects. Project Manager in this role will be working with engineering and assurance teams. You will be responsible for handling documentation relating to compliance, assigning work, process governance and risk.

    A suitable Project Manager candidate should be comfortable with travel around North America to support the management of the project delivery.

    Manage a share of a portfolio of large, complex rail projects, implementing and promoting core principles such as scope management, resource planning, change control, risk, financial control and documentation management.

    Supporting clients, providing solutions and helping to drive their projects forward.

    Take responsibility for ensuring the project Estimate at Completion remains accurate throughout the project, with any project risks identified.

    Manage resource competencies (including suppliers).

    Support Project Engineers in ensuring that risks are understood, considered and mitigated during both the production of project proposals and during the project lifecycle.

    Ensure any Health and Safety risks relating to the project are identified and managed.
    Work closely with other Project Managers and Operations Manager to reduce risk of resourcing conflicts.
    Manage commercials and procurement for Subcontractors ensuring project budgets allow and authorisations are gained.
    Produce monthly forecasts by project.
    Project Management qualifications such as PRINCE2 or APM.
    10 years of experience as a Project Manager
    Knowledge of the Rail industry, including experience of delivering projects in the rail environment would be ideal

    Proven experience of managing large value projects through the full project lifecycle including managing budgets against an estimate at completion, reporting current project status, managing resource conflicts.

    Excellent Excel skills and proficiency in the use of other Microsoft Office packages
    A qualification in construction or engineering field is preferred.
