    Accountability
  • The Requirements Specialist is responsible to help develop, manage and maintain the requirements system and process for ONxpress Operations as part of the GO Expansion – On-Corridor Works package (12 Month Contract) .
  • You assist with the process of analyzing, formulating, and prioritizing project requirements for a large-scale Railway project during the development and execution phases.
  • You will champion the requirements process within the organization, placing a strong emphasis on collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Responsible to compile a complete list of all internal and external interfaces and track the development progress during project lifecycle.
  • Implement and track the usage of interface management processes and procedures by the team
    • Responsibility
  • Executing a detailed requirements management process
  • Ensure all requirements are adequately captured and allocated to various parties involved in the project
  • Ensure that each requirement is allocated relevant fields, according to an acceptable industry model
  • Formulation of new or derived complex requirements
  • Execute the Requirements Management process by meeting with stakeholders to capture and elicit requirements, decompose those requirements into functional and non-functional testable statements, validate requirements with the client and internal teams etc.
  • Create, Update and Submit requirement traceability matrices (RTM)
  • Optimization of the requirement processes
  • Contribute to the requirements change management within DOORS
  • Able to track requirements through the development lifecycle
  • Validation of specifications and errors in requirement management tools such as DOORS
  • Organize and support Requirements Reviews with the various parties involved in the project, including the client
  • Prepare and provide basic training on Requirements Management, DOORS and other relevant process
  • Generate KPIs from data within DOORS for monthly reporting
  • Support the interface manager on all interface related issues between OOI and rest LPPs and Metrolinx.
  • Facilitate the resolution of any cross-boundary interface issues to meet the operator and maintenance requirements and expectations.
  • Support the development of mitigations and/or incentives to reduce risks associated with O&M interfaces.
    • Education
  • College or University graduate with a degree in engineering, or related field - or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent.
  • Successful interface management track record on a major multidisciplinary rail project.
    • Experience
  • Experience in end-to-end requirements management.
  • Experience in administrating requirements tools such as DOORS, DOORS NG, etc
  • Familiar working with large data sets with attention to detail
  • Knowledge of standards and guidelines such as ISO 15288, EN 50126 and INCOSE
    • Competencies & Skills
  • Able to work with and manage multiple stakeholders (internal and external) and staff within a startup-type organization.
  • Have an open and listening manner/ attitude and display strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Have an agile, structured and analytical mind-set, and work with a sense of urgency.
  • Capable of planning your own tasks and driving execution.
  • Perform effectively in a fast-paced, start-up environment – comfortable to act with uncertainty and able to create new systems, policies and procedures with limited resources and a need to a quick yet high quality implementation
  • Proactive, self-confident and are able to make decisions, involving and informing others when needed.
  • Team player and collaborator with a strong desire to develop professionally.
