    We are looking to connect with experienced construction Cost Controllers for roles within our current or future projects.

    Job Description

    • Responsible for compliance with Project and Cost controls standards - both from applicable contract documents and from Acciona / Acciona project controls policies and guidelines.
    • Monitor the project cost and schedule performance and ensure that the cost controls system is properly implemented.
    • Generate all required project status reports for internal management, including the overall project dashboard, project performance report (Earned Value, SPI, CPI, etc.).
    • As required, produce custom reports per request of the customer or internal management.
    • Reviews potential changes against project scope and facilitate discussions with project team members.
    • Preparation of thorough, accurate and timely forecast estimates, in compliance with technical requirements, project scheduling, cost, and safety requirements.
    • Participate in the preparation and presentation of estimates, forecasts and report dashboards.
    • Calculate material take-offs in comparison with the bid.
    • Liaise with project team to reconcile production quantities when necessary.
    • Assist with calculation of accurate monthly accruals.
    • Prepare and update of cash and revenue flows in alignment with the current construction works schedule.
    • Mapping of cost codes with works schedule activity ID's.
    • Ensure labour and equipment rates are aligned with payroll and the equipment group.
    • Accumulate, evaluate, and document historical cost data.
    • Coordinate cost report/control and ensure required information is properly coded and posted.
    • Gather data, validate and incorporate it into the project schedule, analyse schedule impacts and recommend corrective actions.
    • Liaise with contracts team regarding subcontractor and supplier change orders in addition to estimating client claims. Prepare economic feasibility studies on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
    • Document construction progress, identify, track and assist in resolution of construction issues/conflicts.
    • Prepare cost and expenditure statements and forecasts at regular intervals for the duration of a project.
    • Interfaces closely with Project Risk Management to ensure effective integration of the Risk Management and Change Control Processes.

    Required Skills and Competencies

    • Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
    • Demonstrated related experience, on transportation infrastructure & heavy civil projects preferred
    • Excellent communication skills
