- Establishing and develop relationships with key marketing decision makers within media agencies and key advertisers in Canada.
- Developing sales strategies and a commercial plan for an assigned territory, including negotiating trading arrangements.
- Closing business across new advertisers and a base of existing clients from the range of Roku's advertising solutions.
- Preparing and deliver high quality, compelling sales pitches, RFP responses and presentations in a timely manner for agencies and clients.
- Working with supporting teams across Roku's advertising business including Ad Product, Ad Marketing and Insight and Account Management to meet client requirements.
- Accurately forecasting ad business via Roku's CRM platform, updating in a timely manner.
- Staying informed on Canadian video advertising trends and innovations.
- Have 6+ years of successful media sales experience involving connected TV solutions.
- Have a proven track record in closing deals with media agencies and advertisers.
- Are skilled in negotiating and demonstrating value of media investments for customers.
- Are a problem solver with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Are a self-starter, analytical and comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing environment.
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Are proficient with PowerPoint & Excel.
- Hold a Bachelor's degree or higher.

About the role
This position is on the front lines of generating ad revenue and selling custom sponsorships, across the Roku platform in Canada. The ideal candidate will be evangelizing our advertising offering to agencies and brands within the Canadian marketplace. A background in digital video advertising including programmatic, premium publisher cross-platform ad sales, and sponsorship deals is required. To fit in the team, you should be driven to work independently and resourceful to manage many duties, including cold calling, account management, media planning, campaign reporting & optimization, develop sales proposals, presentations, marketing materials, and ideate custom solutions. The ideal candidate has worked in a digital start-up environment and is familiar with the required dedication for fast paced/multi-tasking duties as well as embraces and thrives on uncertainty.
