MY JOURNAL

VOL 1: JANUARY 28, 2024

It's 7:52 AM on the last Sunday morning in January. It's been a
long time since I have been up this early. The world looks
pretty strange at this time of day. It's been raining and or
drizzling here for the past four days, and it's been a long time
since we have seen the sun. It took my back yard a whole day to
absorb the rain that fell over the past couple of days. Winter, so
far, as been a no show.

The world is changing. ‘Something is happening here and you
don't know what it is’, Dylan would say.

It's in the very early stages of starting to feel fucked up.

A storm swept through here last week and hit as far south as
Niagara Falls but missed us completely. I'm beginning to think
there is a dome over my city. More like an inverted colander
that leaks. There's actual snow in the forecast today, but I
remain skeptical.

The month of January is almost gone, pffft. The older you get
the faster the time flies.

I have almost finished the final editing on my stories. There
are 26 in all, 4 of which I would consider to be novellas. They
are too long to be published anywhere except in pieces. But
then I never wrote them to be part of the short story teller
establishment. I'm much more interested in seeing what a
screenwriter would do to transform them into screenplays.

I admire the hell out of anyone who can write a brief short
story. But it's a skill I do not possess. I suppose I could teach
myself that skill. But I much prefer be the old dog who cannot
be taught new tricks.

The plan for this is to make this a weekly thing that shows up
on Sunday when people actually have time to read it.

Hope you all will. I'll cover a wide range of topics because I am
interested tn a lot of different things.
