By Hook Or By Crook

The days tumble by
The nights roll along
We tell a few lies
We sing a few songs

We have some regrets
But nothing that odd
We live in our memories
And onword we plod

We're all feeling younger
As we're all growing old
But the wisdom we carry
Is more precious than gold

We know about life now
And we know about pain
We've all learned the hard way
To keep it restrained

We know about fear
And we know about joy
We rejoice in the small things
Like good girls and boys

And at the end of it all
At the end of the book
We'll have made a whole lifetime
By hook or by crook

Jim Murray · Went outside this morning to do my walking and noticed that this was on my mailbox. These birds must have worked all night on this. Hope they got paid overtime. We think they're Robins. I carefully moved the nest to another location.

The last day before school starts ... a familiar and comfortable sensation.

We always have these conversations no matter how many decades have gone by or where we find ourselves; it seems Labour Day encourages them. They are the conversations and memories of the last day before school starts, and although not technically the last day of summer, those mem ...

Just say Hi

I go for a walk every day along the banks of the Fraser and the Pitt River, and this is my view as I walk. I have a weekly routine as I walk. On the first day I walk for 6 km, the next I walk 9 km and then I walk 11 km and go back to the 6 km walk. I enjoy the walk and seeing the ...
