TV Review

CB STRIKE 2 SPUDS on CRAVE WIKI BLURB: Strike is a British crime drama television programme based on the Cormoran Strike detective novels written by J. K. Rowling under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith. The programme was first broadcast on BBC One on 27 August 2017, after receiving an advance premiere at the British Film Institute. MY BLRUB: As BBC dramas go it's not really the greatest. It's a pretty decent and suitably com- pex story, but stretched out over four hours it felt a bit on the over stretched side. CB Strike is a London detective, played by Tom Burke and war hero with an artificial leg, which takes a lot of his energy to just get around. He has a plucky partner (Holliday Grainger), who seems to be up for just about anything and gets to do all the tricky detective stuff that Mr Strike [HR ETE R {eT So the bottom line is that this is just barely recommended unless you are fans of JK Rowling and you'd like to see how her detective novels translate to the small screen. Don’t get me wrong. | liked a lot of things about this series, but It was just, you know, slow.
