THE PALE BLUE EYE (NETFLIX) 3 Spuds NUTSHELL: Veteran detective Augustus Landor investigates a series of grisly murders with the help of a young cadet who will eventually go on to become the world-famous author Edgar Allan Poe. MY TWO CENTS: This was a dark murder mystery with a real cool twist. Lots of heavyweight people in it. And the story moved right along. Nobody paid much attention to this when it was released last year, but it's about as solid a melodrama as you'll ever see.
