Gord's Great Room: After we had only been married a few years, we were offered a coach house in Rosedale to live in. The property belonged to Gordon Lightfoot. He wanted someone to be around and take care of the house while he did his gigs on the weekends Evidently he had fans who would break into his house for a memento. We got to know each other quite well over the three years we were there. We were very good friends with the lady he was living with at the time. And paying only for utilities allowed us to save up for a healthy down payment on our first house. I also got to meet and spend some time with a lot of interesting people including Bob Dylan, who came to a party at Gord's house, and was really interested in seeing the coach house. I got to spend about an hour with him, just talking, mostly about the road, because I was traveling as an editorial and advertising photographer.
