Just my opinion, but...

THE DEATH OF A THOUSAND CUTS It feels like we are being absolutely pounded by Al these days, especially the writing platforms. The sad part of that is nobody who uses it is going to end up being a better writer. There's no intellec- tual growth. There's no digging down into your own psyche to try and figure things out. There's no emo- tion. No feeling other than the satisfaction that you have managed to do something ordinary without trying all that hard. It makes me very sad to think of the intellectual deterioration the human race is going to go through. | probably won't be around to see it really and truly go to hell, but my two grandsons will. And what becomes of them? What kind of life will they have? We were all nurtured on ideas. We worked hard and challenged ourselves to develop our minds and learn to express what we are thinking. If you take that away from people, what do you really have left? These are the questions that the propellerheads, so busy at work creating artificial intelligence, never ask themselves. They don't even realize that the better they get at all of this, the greater the risk of their own redundancy. There is, at the very least, a certain amount of poetic justice in that., | suppose. But you can file it under ‘cold comfort’.
