MEMORY 2 SPUDS on PRIME Liam Neeson, who plays the good bad guy in this contract killer movie, is now at the stage in his career where he gets to play killers and other types of bad guys who are on the verge of retirement, which is what he’s doing here That's really the plot in a nutshell. But the movie itself, for the kind of uber violent. filled with disgusting rich criminal types and earnest cops caught up in a crooked cop world, is pretty damn good It was directed by Martin Campbell who is one of the best action directors in the business and Liam Neeson is always fun to watch as he goes through the hyperkentic motions of getting revenge on the aforementioned disgusting rich criminal types, all the while being chased all over El Paso by earnest Guy Pearce, who has also found himself a good character niche This movie isn't going to impart any life chang- ing lessons but some nights, you know, you just gotta watch something that doesn't force you to use very much of your brain to take in COUCH POTATO CHRONICLES RATING SYSTEM NO SPUD 4U -- SUCKS 1 SPUD -- NOTHING SPECIAL 2 SPUDS -- WORTH WATCHING 3 SPUDS -- HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Copynght 2022, MurMarketing, Jim Murray
