ARTEMUS FOWL 3 SPUDS on DISNEY + WIKI BLURB: Artemis Fowl is a 2020 American science fantasy adventure film based on the 2001 novel of the same name by Irish author Eoin Colfer. Directed by Kenneth Branagh, from a screenplay co-written by Conor McPherson and Hamish McCo- Il, the film stars Ferdia Shaw, Lara McDonnell, Josh Gad, Tamara Smart, Nonso Anozie, Colin Farrell, and Judi Dench. MY BLURB: Like most great discoveries, | stumbled on this quite by accident last night and was absolutely delighted that 1 did. This is a high end fantasy story about the world of elves and the world of humans. The fact that it had Kenneth Branaugh directing and Judi Dench and Colin Farrell in it was really all I needed. One of the things I liked best about it was that there was a lot of great action and fabulous visual effects but not a whole lot of violence. I'd gladly show this to my grandkids without any trepidation. This is one of those movies that anyone can watch because there is a lot to see and it's enter- taining in the extreme. The story, which involved the search for a fairy artifact, was also left open ended and there is currently a second installment in the works. Mr Branaugh, who directs mostly live action dramas, is now, at least in my book, right up there in with the likes of James Cameron and Jon Favreau.
