    Director of Information Technology

    Mildred's-Lightbourn School (SMLS) is a leading independent school for girls from JK through Grade 12. Our goal is to provide each girl with a tailored, practical learning experience where she can discover her individual paths in a supportive community.

    • Position Details Department:
      • Information Technology
      • Senior Leadership Team Members, Staff, Faculty

    Education:

    • Post-secondary education in Computer Programming, Networking, or Computer Science.
    • Post-secondary education in Business with relevant IT management experience.
    • Project Management Certification or Equivalent Experience.

    • Experience: 10+ years in IT
    • Proficient in Google Workspace & Microsoft Office products

    Working Conditions:

    • Office / School Environment, Mac, Google
    • Education experience (preferred)
    • Experience in an Independent School (an asset)
    • Experience in a not-for-profit environment (an asset)
    • Operations & Projects

    • Oversee school's data management, cybersecurity, and business continuity planning for all IT systems and protocols
    • Conduct annual audits of all IT vendor services and contracts, along with school network and cybersecurity infrastructure
    • Provide input for insurance renewal to ensure proper coverage for IT equipment and cyber security
    • Administrate SuperAdmin accounts and provide technical support for all IT software systems
    • Manage the SMLS Learning Management System and software/hardware evaluations
    • Liaise with other departments to ensure IT support and processes
    • Support IT for school and community events
    • Administer annual cybersecurity training
    • Manage IT team structure and development
