    Opportunity

    MacEwan University is seeking a Team Lead (Assistant Registrar), Student Information Systems, for a full-time continuing opportunity with the Office of the University Registrar (OUR).

    This position provides leadership to a team of Functional Analysts who support the operation of MacEwan University's Enterprise Resource Planning system, PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, and other integrated systems. This position is responsible for directing, supporting, and coaching the Functional Analysts on their assigned work deliverables to achieve the University's strategic goals and provides day to day support to the Associate Registrar, Information Systems and Curriculum Services.

    Key responsibilities include:

  • Remaining informed of the collective agreement and policies that govern the terms and conditions of employment for the employees who report to the position to understand and fairly apply the spirit and intent of those provisions.
  • Leading the development and implementation of a comprehensive training program for unit staff in a manner that considers individual learning needs. Orienting and training new staff.
  • Accountable for resource planning and assignments for University Faculties, Departments, Schools, and Administration for ERP projects for business requirements, user acceptance testing, organization change management, and training.
  • Accountable for the final deliverables assigned to the Office of the University Registrar for enhancement projects. This would include process analysis, business requirements, organizational change management, future state process mapping, user acceptance planning and testing, and transition to operations.
  • As a member of the OUR extended leadership team, participating in and supporting departmental strategic planning activities in alignment with the University's Strategic Vision.
  • Accountable for reviewing, eliciting, and documenting complex business cases on behalf of the University Faculties, Departments, Schools, and Administration for submission to IT for project prioritization.
  • Establishing and reporting on resource management plans to support the operational and project requirements to the Associate Registrar, Information Systems and Curriculum Services on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
  • Building effective and collaborative working relationships with University Faculties, Departments, Schools, and Administration.
  • Responsible for the investigation and recommendation for application enhancements and changes to maximize system effectiveness.

  • Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in a related field, such as, but not limited to: Commerce, Management, Computing Science.
  • Experience working in information/administration systems or other Enterprise Applications is required.
  • Experience in a post-secondary environment would be considered an asset.
  • Direct experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions would be considered an asset.
  • Experience leading a team of business, process or functional analysts is preferred.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
