Senior HRIS Analyst ( 12 months contract) is responsible for managing the full cycle on multiple Workday HCM and Finance modules supporting functional mandates.
The role will continually partner with HR & Finance team to support the development and implementation of technology strategies and methodologies to meet the business needs.
The support is 75% HR and 25% Finance.What You Will Do
Provide Workday subject matter functional expertise for day-to-day support and development including business process design, data transmission (EIB), testing and other troubleshooting support
Provide subject matter expertise on Workday best practices and partner with HR functional leads to understand pain points, prioritize requirements, and identify opportunities to improve processes and gain efficiency by leveraging Workday functionality
Lead technical execution on HCM project and deliverables for upcoming initiatives such as Employee Development (LMS)
Support design sessions and configuration decisions based on best practices and an understanding of the current business requirements
Ability to identify issues, apply judgment to find proactive solutions within our HR system
Work closely with IT on testing support
Work closely with the Payroll and Benefits team to ensure HCM feeds accurately to Payroll and to Benefit integrations, resolve and escalate (if necessary) risks and issues
Maintain data integrity within and across systems, conduct system audits and reconcile discrepancies with other functional areas to ensure data accuracy
Assist with bi-annual releases, including analysis of impacts of new functionality and cross functional analysis
Maintain awareness of Workday future releases / roadmap and the potential impact of those plans on current and future Workday functionality
Provide HCM user support through documentation, developing and facilitating training, and creating supporting materials and reports as required
Well-versed in reporting and metrics, management dashboards and Workday analytics
Solid understanding of Position Management and Job Architecture concepts and management
What You Will Bring
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent post-secondary education) in Human Resources or related filed
3 -5 years' experience with Workday, with a broad understanding of Workday cross functional touchpoints and their impacts within the Workday platforms
Workday Pro certification in one or multiple HCM modules, preferably Advanced Compensation; Finance, or related experience
Experience in designing and prototyping, testing, and implementing practical business solutions
Solid understanding of Human Resources and Finance processes and procedures with a broad knowledge of all aspects of human resources management systems
Knowledge of business operations and continuous process improvement initiatives
Experience maintaining data integrity within and across systems, conduct system audits and reconcile discrepancies with other functional areas to ensure data accuracy
Experience with report writing and database management
Knowledge and Skills
Excellent communication, interpersonal and client-servicing skills
Exceptional attention to details, analytical, critical thinking skills
Proven consultative skills to guide internal team discussions to agreement of solutions in a timely manner
Ability to prioritize workload and execute tasks independently, providing timely follow-up and resolution
Strong multi-tasking skills: ability to meet short-term needs while at the same time building a plan and systems for future needs
