    Your Opportunity

    BDO Canada's Kitchener-Waterloo office group is seeking a Resource Coordinator to join our Resource Management team supporting our Assurance practice. The successful candidate will own the following responsibilities:

  • Lead scheduling functions for the client, including proactive workforce planning, resolving schedule conflicts, and recommending staff sharing opportunities.
  • Optimize project engagements using available resources to improve utilization and understand staff skillsets and preferences to best utilize staff.
  • Administer the database through daily scheduling, conflict resolution, and manage ongoing changes while building strong relationships with management teams.
  • Build and analyze robust reporting through internal database and Microsoft Excel regarding chargeability and utilization.
  • Collaborate with local and national teams to identify and implement best practices in resourcing processes and reporting.
  • Analyze and challenge resourcing requests against key engagement metrics to ensure the appropriate allocation of resources, and forecast data in relation to new hires, attrition, promotions, etc.

  • Your experience and education:

  • 1-2 years of direct experience in scheduling, forecasting, and/or workforce capacity planning.
  • Experience with conflict resolution and negotiating skills to balance individual and business needs.
  • Demonstration of personal leadership, accountability, proactivity, and responsiveness.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, along with the ability to adapt to changing priorities within the business.
  • Confident communication skills both written and verbal, comfortable collaborating with business partners in remote locations, and a passion for optimizing employees' strengths and efficiency.
