    Description

    Role Summary:

    Interested in joining an energetic and professional accounting firm that are trusted business advisors to local owner managed businesses and not-for-profits?

    We are looking for an enthusiastic and diligent senior accountant who will help support our clients and their businesses.

    Flexible working hours and work from home arrangements to be discussed.

    Key Responsibilities:

    · Review of bookkeeping, compilation engagements, and tax returns prepared by team members

    · Preparation of compilation engagements including financial statements and corporate tax returns

    · Assistance with review, audit, and consulting engagements

    · Preparation of GST, T4 and T5 information returns, and personal tax returns

    · Preparation and processing of payroll

    · Developing positive relationships with clients and team

    Qualities:

    · Technologically savvy and open to new technology

    · Willingness to learn and grasps new concepts quickly

    · Detail oriented

    · Critical thinking skills

    · Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, set priorities, and meet deadlines

    · Strong verbal and written communication skills

    · Passionate about delivering high-quality work

    · Understands and values the nature of client-advisor relationships

    Experience:

    · Three to five years public practice experience, preferably in a small or mid-sized firm

    · Familiar with software including Caseware, Profile, and Microsoft Office

    · Familiar with QuickBooks Online and Xero (preferred)

    Education:

    · Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation
