    Description

    Miles HR has a contract opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join this excellent company in Burnaby, BC known for its commitment to excellence and innovation.

    We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join their finance team on a contract basis until the end of December 2023.

    Your responsibilities will include processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and ensuring timely and accurate payment of our financial obligations. Review and process high volume vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
    Match purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices to verify the completeness of transactions.
    Perform reconciliation of vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
    Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of accounts payable transactions.
    Bachelor's degree or Certificate in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
    Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or in a similar role.
    Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
    Knowledge of accounts payable best practices and relevant regulations.
    A supportive and forward-thinking finance team.
    Starts immediately and goes to the end of December
