    Position Summary

    The primary purpose of this role is to provide support on all National On Premise initiatives from planning through to execution and post mortem measurement (with support from Procurement team). The vision of this role is to bring the brand strategies to life in a relevant and engaging way at one of the key connection moments for the consumer.

    The Assistant Manager, On Premise will report to the Sr. Manager Omni Channel Strategy & Planning and will both lead and support program initiatives. This role will provide full support of the National Account Chains On Premise business including both planning & execution, while only providing partial support for the Key Independents Channel on planning.

    In order to deliver excellent programming, this role requires a cross-functional way of working both internally and externally with On Premise Chain Account customers and key BTL agencies; leading the day to day contact with the OP BTL agency in particular.

    The Assistant Manager, On Premise will possess a high-level understanding of the Corby Brand portfolio; Brand plans, key initiatives and Brand positioning. In addition, this role will have a deep knowledge of the On Premise channel Nationally including key trends and market insights and key National Account customer priorities and opportunities.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support on the development and execution (with support from Procurement team) of channel and segment specific consumer engagement ideas and activations in the On Premise channel that bring the key brand strategies to life in an engaging way with target consumers, driving equity and conversion on the right brands at the right time (focus on national with some provincial level programs).
    • Support the Manager, On Premise in the development of strategic National Account programming, and ad hoc On Premise Programs as required; always finding ways to integrate digital / social / e-crm into programs where applicable.
    • Support the Manager, On Premise in the development of customer presentation decks: annual planning, insight findings & proposed action plan.
    • Lead the design, approval, procurement, and delivery of all required POS for National Account program execution (as agreed to with specific National Chain Accounts).
    • Ability to read and extract learning from On Premise Insights Tools and build learnings into actionable plans.
    • Collaborate with and seek input from the OP Taskforce and Regional Trade Marketing Managers (RTMMs) in the regional / account specific customization requirements for each province, on all participating programs.
    • Demonstrate the ability to influence, engage and collaborate with key stakeholders throughout the life of projects / initiatives and manage multiple programs at a time.
    • Effectively manage BTL budgets for owned programs.
    • Collaborate with procurement team to ensure all planned initiatives are field ready (delivered on time, on budget) and have good customer / outlet fit – Procurement team to ensure RTMMs have the necessary information for flawless execution against planned objectives.
    • Administrative support on budget management, activity trackers and monthly business updates.
    • Performs other duties, as required.

    Preferred Education/Experience

    • Minimum College education
    • Minimum 2 years' experience in Sales / Marketing within CPG, Hospitality and/or alcoholic beverages
    • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills (written and oral) a must
    • Strong project management experience a must with exceptional organization skills and attention to detail
    • Previous brand/event activation experience an asset
    • Digital and E-crm experience an asset
    • High level of initiative and entrepreneurial spirit
    • Creativity and drive to bring new ideas to life
    • Team player
    • Travel = up to 10% of time

    • Proficient in Microsoft office
