    Human Resources Manager - Toronto, ON, Canada - LyfeDesign

    is seeking a reliable and organized Human Resources Manager to join a Hospitality Group in Toronto, Canada.

    The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing all human resources related functions and administrative HR support to ensure efficient operation of the day-to-day business.     Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

    1. Responsible for the oversight of the human resources department
    2. Responsible for the hiring process for all restaurant employees and for the corporate office
    3. Liaise, coordinate and solve employment related issues such as hires, terminations, and exit interviews
    4. Employee onboarding
    5. Establish, and maintain HR policies, and ensure distribution and familiarization to all employees corporate and non-corporate
    6. Immigration coordination, if applicable
    7. Coordination of work permits, if required
    8. Assist team as required on training
    9. Support Corporate office and restaurant managers in developing training strategies and motivation strategies
    10. Oversee and coordinate the analysis of employee data and information
    11. Point of access and coordination with management for all employee questions and complaints
    12. Liaise with external HR consultants, HR lawyers, and HR suppliers as required
    13. Organize staff consultation and grievance procedures
    14. Conduct performance reviews
    15. Evaluate work environments, programs, and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury
    16. Conduct vocational testing and psychometric assessment
    17. Assist in all payroll procedures
    18. Creation and management of an Equality and Inclusion Department
    19. Developing and implementing policies and guidelines aimed at promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion within the organization or community
    20. Training and Education management and all staff by providing training programs, workshops, and educational initiatives to raise awareness about diversity issues, unconscious bias, and inclusive practices
    21. Provide support to advocate for the rights of marginalized or underrepresented groups and providing support services to address discrimination, harassment, or inequality
    22. Monitor and Evaluations of diversity metrics, conducting surveys, and evaluating the effectiveness of diversity and inclusion initiatives to identify areas for improvement
    23. Implementing strategies to recruit and retain a diverse workforce, including outreach efforts to attract candidates from underrepresented backgrounds
    24. Ensuring that facilities, services, and information are accessible to individuals with disabilities or special needs
    25. Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to equality, diversity, and inclusion, including anti-discrimination laws and affirmative action requirements
    26. Establishing any other initiative to foster a culture of respect, acceptance, and equality within an organization or community, and in advocating for social justice and equity for all individuals

    Job Requirements

    Experience and Knowledge Needed:

    • Strong knowledge of the hospitality, restaurant, and food services industry is a must in Ontario
    • 5 years of Human Resources management experience in Ontario, preferably in hospitality operations
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, highly motivated, enthusiastic with a Can-do attitude, proactive and resourceful
    • Handle a dynamic and busy work environment with competing priorities
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Building positive working relationships with employees at all levels within the organization
    • Human Resources Bachelor's degree
    • Must have expert knowledge in full-cycle recruitment, thorough pre-qualification screening, behavioral interviewing, and closing professional-level candidates across multiple levels and disciplines
