    Join our Global Transaction Banking team as a Summer Analyst in this 4 month role and become part of a team focused on delivering innovative banking and investment solutions to CIBC's retail, wealth and business clients including corporates, governments and institutional clients around the world.

    The Global Transaction Banking group is positioned within Capital Markets Corporate and Investment Banking, supporting financial institution and corporate clients across correspondent banking, cash management and liquidity advisory, trade and working capital finance, and portfolio risk management.

    As a student in our Global Transaction Banking group, you will be working with one of our teams in Toronto to make a real difference for our clients.



    Correspondent Banking:
    Responsible for the critical banking infrastructure that permits international payment and settlement flows across borders and currencies.

    Global Banks Coverage:
    Manage CIBC's bank relationships globally in cross-selling Capital Markets solutions and sourcing liquidity.

    Trade Finance:
    Provide clients with innovative solutions around credit risk mitigation and liquidity access.

    Portfolio Risk Management:
    Responsible for first line AML Program for Correspondent Banking.

    Cash Management:
    Support clients on operational banking needs and provide solutions for investment of excess liquidity.

    Details on your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview.

    You are enrolled in an undergraduate degree in Commerce, Mathematics, Engineering, or related and you are on track to complete your undergrad program no sooner than April 2026.

    Communication and Relationship Management ̶ Support the team with payment clearing relationships with global partner banks on behalf of CIBC and payment product support for the Global Trade and Banking team and other CIBC stakeholders.

    Process Improvement ̶ Responsible to manage CIBC's foreign currency clearing arrangements with Correspondent banks to reduce costs, improve service quality and manage various aspects of the correspondent banking systems application.

    You are highly motivated, accomplished and success-oriented individual who has a keen interest in pursuing a career in the financial services industry demonstrated through school courses, clubs and/or related work experience.

    You are proficient in MS-office suite of tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). You give meaning to data. Your critical thinking skills help to inform your decision making.
