    Description
    Our client is in the financial services industry. Company often participates in community events
    Preparation of quarterly and annual IFRS compliant financial statements meeting all Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI) and Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) requirements
    Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data by reviewing and analyzing financial statements, general ledger accounts, and supporting documentation
    Responsible for the preparation of all OSC continuous disclosure requirements including Management Discussion and Analysis (MD&A) and Annual Information Form (AIF)
    Responsible for holding company accounting reconciliations and financial statements
    Analysis of expected credit losses and specific reserves
    Coordinate financial statement and MD&A support for external audit, including the preparation of audit schedules and responding to auditor inquiries
    Provide support for complex accounting issues ensuring effective application of relevant accounting standards
    Participate in the automation of financial statements and reporting
    Stay abreast of emerging accounting standards and reporting requirements (IFRS)
    Financial Analysis and Management Reporting
    Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making
    Prepare financial reports and analysis to senior management, and other stakeholders as needed
    Minimum 5 years of hands on and progressive experience in financial reporting, including experience in a public accounting firm
    Consolidations experience is an asset
    Experience with financial reporting software such as Workiva and ERP systems would be an asset
    In-depth knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS), principles, and best practices
    Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
