    As a Procurement Engineer Professional you will beresponsible for:

  • Promoting the use of supplier innovation and Design for Manufacturing & Assembly (DfMA ) into product designs through Early Supplier Involvement (ESI)
  • Leading Design to Cost (DtC) and Value Engineering (VE) exercises with suppliers and Siemens engineering to drive cost optimization
  • Conducting RfQ competitive exercises to identify lowest Total Cost of Ownership (ToCO) sources to achieve the target costs for materials, processes and products, based on defined commodity strategies
  • Initiating and project managing major part/manufacturing line transfer activities, while assuring continuity of supply
  • Working with procurement, R&D, manufacturing operations, quality & engineering to deliver product and supply base improvements to meet business needs
  • Implementing supplier changes to reduce risk and costs, improve performance and optimize parts/supplier sourcing

    ·You have theability to combine technical skills, with a keen interest in commercial andsupply chain aspects

  • Posses a strong understanding of various manufacturing technologies and commodities, such as reagent and consumable process-based manufacturing, instrument assembly and test, metal fabrication, metal machining, plastic molding, PCBA, cables, optics, and fluidics
  • Able to influence supplier selection decisions at a Site and Strategic Procurement level
  • Have a proven negotiation and influencing skills with suppliers
  • Developed strong project management skills and the ability to initiate and lead supplier optimization projects on a cross-functional and cross-site basis
  • Problem-solving, planning, and analytical skills. Ability to collate and analyze large amounts of data for decision-making
  • Excellent oral communication, business writing skills, and presentation skills
  • Self-directing, goal-oriented, and able to prioritize workload in an Agile environment
  • Team player who can build strong and influential relationships with internal stakeholders and external partner

    • Required skills tohave for the success of this role:

  • Bachelor of Engineering or advanced degree, and/or an equivalent combination of education and technical experience (preferably in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical engineering)
  • 7+ years of experience within the International Organization for Standardization registered manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with ISO13485, and Government Heath Regulations, e.g., FDA and Health Canada Regulations
  • Proficient with computer systems including hardware and software
  • Proficient with Excel, SAP, AMAPS, or equivalent programs
  • Demonstrate ability to analyze procurement-related information from various sources to process work and resolve issues
  • Demonstrate ability to analyze difficult situations, use good judgement, make decisions, and solve problems
  • Capability to read, and interpret technical drawings and schematics
  • Fundamentals of purchasing and contracting
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Must have valid passport
  • Clearance to travel internationally including the US (without restrictions)
