    Sommaire du poste

    L'hôte/l'hôtesse est la première impression que l'invité aura du restaurant et du bar. L'hôte/l'hôtesse accueille les invités rapidement, de manière courtoise et aimable avec un regard et un sourire. L'hôte/l'hôtesse est responsable de la prise de réservation avec Open Table. La personne est également responsable de vérifier les réservations de la journée et peut prendre la décision d'accepter des invités qui n'ont pas de réservation. L'hôte/l'hôtesse connaît la totalité des menus, des ingrédients et des disponibilités ou indisponibilités de la journée. L'hôte/l'hôtesse occupe un rôle central dans l'organisation du restaurant/bar et connaît les stations de service, leurs tâches quotidiennes, leur rythme et leur capacité maximale. L'hôte/l'hôtesse connaît également les clients réguliers, leur nom de famille et leurs préférences. Un emploi du temps flexible est nécessaire et inclut les fins de semaine et les jours fériés.

    Responsabilités principales

  • Accueillir et installer les invités, coordonner les réservations et répondre aux demandes de manière efficace, courtoise et professionnelle afin de satisfaire au mieux les invités, tout en respectant les politiques du Four Seasons.
  • Installer les invités rapidement à une table déjà dressée pour le nombre d'invités et selon leurs préférences.
  • Installer le kiosque de l'hôte ou de l'hôtesse, vérifier le livre des réservations et formuler des recommandations concernant la mise en place de la pièce, le maintien de l'organisation des stations et du compte de couverts du restaurant, tout en respectant la capacité maximale de chaque serveur afin de répondre aux normes du Four Seasons.
  • Répondre au téléphone en respectant les normes du Four Seasons et prendre les réservations des invités ou fournir des renseignements sur le restaurant ou sur tout autre service de l'hôtel.
  • Anticiper les besoins des invités, répondre aux demandes ou aux problèmes des invités de manière appropriée et appeler les invités réguliers par leur nom, en l'utilisant de manière cohérente.
  • Inspecter et entretenir les menus pour assurer leur qualité, leur état et leur apparence et connaître de manière approfondie toutes les options du menu et les plats du jour.
  • Travailler de manière étroite avec le service de l'hébergement pour identifier les invités internes qui soupent dans nos établissements.
  • Faire état de tous les incidents ou situations inhabituelles au superviseur aussi vite que possible.
  • Exécuter toute autre tâche connexe.
  • Exigences du poste

  • Travailler des horaires atypiques et être disponible les jours, soirs, nuits, fin de semaines et fériés ;
  • Compétences en service à la clientèle irréprochables. Grand enthousiasme et compétences interpersonnelles supérieures, orientation sur les résultats et très grande motivation.
  • Bonne compréhension de l'exploitation relative à la nourriture et aux boissons.
  • Grand professionnalisme et degré élevé d'intégrité pour respecter les exigences de confidentialité de l'hôtel.
  • Connaissances fonctionnelles des systèmes MS, Word et Excel.
  • Souci constant du détail, sens aigu de l'organisation, axé sur les résultats et capacité à effectuer plusieurs tâches en même temps dans un environnement au rythme rapide.
  • Attitude positive et approche de réussite face à n'importe quelle tâche.
  • Une expérience en tant qu'hôte ou hôtesse dans un restaurant et bar de luxe est un atout.
  • Posséder des connaissances en informatique, être capable de se servir d'un équipement informatique et avoir de l'expérience dans Open Table est un atout.
  • Être capable de rester debout pendant 8 heures.
  • Le poste nécessite de bien s'exprimer, lire et écrire en anglais et en français.

    Hourly Rate: $26.41

    *Due to local laws, we prioritize applicants who have permission to work in Canada, and are fluent in English and French, both orally and in writing.

    Job Summary

    The Host/ess is the guest's first impression of the restaurant. The Host/ess greets guests promptly, courteously, graciously with eye contact, and a smile. Utilizing Open Table, the Host/ess takes reservations, reviews the daily reservation book and has the ability to seat guests without reservations. The Host/ess has a complete working knowledge of the menus, menu ingredients and what is available/unavailable for that day. A principle role within the restaurant, the Host/ess is familiar with server stations, their daily assignments, their personal timing patterns and their maximum workload capacity. The Host/ess is also familiar with frequent guests and knows their names and preferences. Flexible schedule is required and includes weekends and holidays.

    Core Responsibilities

  • Greet and seat guests while coordinating guest reservations and responding to inquiries in an efficient, courteous and professional manner to achieve maximum customer satisfaction while complying with all Four Seasons' policies;
  • Seat guests promptly at a table pre-set for the number in the party and according to guest preference;
  • Set up host/hostess stand, review guest reservation book, and make recommendations as to the set-up of the room, maintain a station chart and cover count for the restaurant and the bar while recognizing the maximum workload capacity of each server in order to meet Four Seasons Service standards;
  • Answer telephones according to Four Seasons standards and take guest reservations or provide information regarding the restaurant or any other hotel service;
  • Anticipate the needs of guests, respond accordingly to guest inquiries or problems, and recognize regular guests by name and utilize the guest's name consistently;
  • Inspect and maintain daily menus to ensure quality, condition and appearance while developing a complete working knowledge of all menu items and daily specials;
  • Work closely with the rooms department to identify in-house guests dinning in our venues;
  • Reports all incidents or unusual situations to the supervisor as quickly as possible;
  • Perform any other related tasks.
  • Desired Qualifications and Skills

  • A flexible schedule with the ability to work all shifts: days, nights, weekends and holidays;
  • Excellent customer service skills with great enthusiasm, superior interpersonal skills, result oriented and highly self-motivated;
  • Good understanding of F&B operation;
  • High level of professionalism and integrity while maintaining the confidentiality of the hotel;
  • Working knowledge of MS systems; Word and Excel;
  • High attention to detail, strong organization skills, result orientation and the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment;
  • A positive attitude and a can-do approach to any task;
  • Previous high end restaurant and bar host/hostess experience is a plus;
  • Knowledge or the ability to operate computer equipment and experience with using Open Table is an asset;
  • Must be able to stand for an 8-hour shift;
  • Require reading, writing and oral proficiency in the French and English languages;
