    Principales responsabilités

  • Offrir aux clients du Bar un service distingué et agréable conformément aux critères de qualité Four Seasons ;
  • Anticiper les demandes des clients et y répondre de manière proactive ;
  • Servir les boissons en ayant une bonne connaissance de la carte des boissons ;
  • Développer une connaissance complète de tous les produits offerts par le Bar comme les vins, les cocktails, les bières, les armagnacs, les cognacs, les eaux de vie et les autres boissons ;
  • Travailler étroitement avec le Sommelier pour assurer une rotation des produits de vins ;
  • Effectuer autant le service d'ouverture que de fermeture du Bar ; savoir dresser les tables selon les normes requises ;
  • Présenter la carte et chaque menu en conseillant les clients ;
  • Connaître en détail tous les menus, que ce soit pour les plats ou les boissons ;
  • Débarrasser et stocker le linge, la porcelaine, l'argenterie, la verrerie, les boissons et la nourriture ;
  • Savoir utiliser le système informatique de l'hôtel (micros), pour la facturation des produits, pour l'impression des factures et effectuer les transactions ;
  • Porter les plateaux, savoir débarrasser et redresser les tables ;
  • Ranger et nettoyer le bar pendant le service ;
  • S'assurer que tous les détails du service soient parfaits et que chaque client reçoive la meilleure qualité de service ;
  • S'assurer que le bar est stocké en tout temps et que toutes les responsabilités d'ouverture et de fermeture sont bien accomplies ;
  • Saluer le client chaleureusement, avec courtoisie, avec le contact des yeux, en souriant et avec une bonne présentation ;
  • Rapporter tout incident ou situation atypique immédiatement à son superviseur ;
  • Répondre correctement aux divers cas d'urgence et aux situations de sécurité ;
  • S'assurer de la satisfaction du client et à prendre en main tout problème qui pourrait survenir, informer un superviseur par la suite ;
  • Exécuter d'autres tâches ou projets assignés par la Direction de l'hôtel.
  • Qualifications et compétences souhaitées

  • Capacité de communication en français et en anglais, à l'oral comme à l'écrit (niveau intermédiaire) ;
  • Deux (2) à trois (3) années d'expérience dans un poste similaire, idéalement dans un milieu hôtelier de luxe ;
  • Avoir une excellente résistance au stress et le gérer de manière positive et efficace ;
  • Être à l'aise dans un environnement à cadence rapide ;
  • Des affinités pour le service à la clientèle ;
  • Bonnes aptitudes interpersonnelles puisque ce poste implique un contact constant avec la clientèle ;
  • Être debout/marcher pendant de longues périodes tout au long de la journée ;
  • Soulever des charges jusqu'à 13kg ;
  • Travailler des horaires atypiques et être disponible les jours, soirs, nuits, fin de semaines et fériés ;
  • Le candidat idéal aura des connaissances solides en nourriture et boissons, une attention marquée pour les détails et la capacité à effectuer plusieurs tâches ;

    Bartender, MARCUS Restaurant & Lounge (Part-Time)

    The Four Seasons Hotel Montreal is looking for someone who shares our passion for excellence and seeks to create a memorable experience for our employees and guests. We are looking for a person who has a strong work ethic, a high level of integrity, a concern for quality, a cultural sensitivity and a sense of customer service.

    Core Responsibilities

  • Offer guests at the bar a distinguished and pleasant service as per Four Seasons quality standards;
  • Anticipate guest needs and responds in a proactive manner;
  • Serve a variety of beverages and have excellent knowledge of the beverage menu;
  • Develop complete knowledge of all products offered by the bar such as wines, cocktails, beers, Armagnacs, cognacs, spirits and all other beverages;
  • Work closely with the Sommelier to ensure proper rotation of wine products;
  • Perform all opening and closing tasks at the bar; be able to set-up tables as per required standards;
  • Present beverage and food menus and offer clients suggestions;
  • Have detailed knowledge of all menu items whether it be food or beverages;
  • Remove and stock all tableware, porcelain, silverware, glassware, beverages and food;
  • Ability to use the hotel's computer system (micros) for product billing, printing invoices and to close payments in the correct payment system;
  • Bring plates to clients, clean up and reset tables;
  • Tidy up and clean bar area during service hours;
  • Ensure all details of service are delivered to perfection and that each client is given the best quality service;
  • Ensure bar is properly stocked at all times and that opening and closing tasks are executed;
  • Welcome guests with a warm, courteous demeanor by making eye contact with a smile and proper presentation;
  • Immediately report all incidents or atypical situations to the supervisor;
  • Correctly respond to various emergency or security situations;
  • Ensure client satisfaction and take ownership of any problem that may arise, advise supervisors afterwards;
  • Perform all other tasks or projects assigned by hotel management;
  • Desired Qualifications and Skills

  • Ability to communicate in French and English, both orally and in writing (intermediate level);
  • Two (2) to three (3) years' experience in a similar position;
  • Have a good resistance to stress and manage it positively and effectively;
  • An affinity for guest service;
  • Good interpersonal skills. This position involves a large volume of guest contact and excellent communication skills are required;
  • Excellent bartending and cocktail knowledge;
  • Move about facility and stand for long periods of time;
  • The ability to carry up to 30lbs (13kg);
  • A flexible schedule with the ability to work all shifts: days, nights, weekends and holidays;
  • The ideal candidate will also have solid food and wine knowledge, a strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask;
