    Digital Vantage Point (DVP) was founded as a hardcode web development shop in 1997. Our development focuses exclusively on Microsoft stack technologies, like; MSSQL, VB.Net, ASP.Net, C#, etc, as well as JavaScript, HTML, and XML. We have become a world leader in e-commerce solutions specifically targeting Microsoft's ERP financial solution, Business Central. Our flagship product, Nav-to-Net is used by companies around the world to host their B2B (and occasionally B2C) e-commerce sites.

    We are 13 staff including 5 developers and one full time, highly experienced QA person. Our solutions are usually a combination of our flagship product and customer specific customizations. Our object has always been to be the best in the world at what we do, and we are committed to delivering on the promise both internally and externally.

    Role Description

    This is a full-time on-site role for a Junior-Intermediate Software Testing and QA Specialist at Digital Vantage Point Inc. located in Markham, ON. The Software Testing and QA Specialist will be responsible for creating and executing test cases, managing test activities, and ensuring high-quality software development. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues, providing feedback on software functionality, and maintaining accurate documentation of test results. The role will primarily be performed on-site at DVP's Markham location, however after a successful probation period, working from home occasionally may be an option.

    Anticipated Salary for this role is between CDN $45,000 - $55,000 depending on qualifications

    Key Responsibilities

    • Participate in test case and test data creation
    • Determine the requirements to use cases and test cases by reviewing scopes and issue documents.
    • Collaborate with developers and business analysts to ensure that the acceptable case scenarios meet customer expectations
    • Document and maintain detailed test results in Jira and follow up with Dev team
    • Capture relevant test results an effectively document how to reproduce results

    Qualifications

    • Strong knowledge and experience in software testing and quality assurance
    • Proficiency in creating and executing test cases
    • Experience in test management and test execution
    • Understanding of software development processes
    • Experience with current Internet browsers
    • Experience with web browser inspection/dev tools
    • Experience querying databases (e.g., SQL)
    • Should be enthusiastic in Testing and critical eye for details
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
    • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
    • Good communication and collaboration skills
    • Relevant certification in software testing or quality assurance is a plus
    • A degree in computer science or a related field is preferred
