    Description

    As a Data Engineer you will develop and maintain Microsoft SQL databases (including creating and maintaining tables, views, stored procedures), and ETL (Azure Data Factory, Azure functions, logic apps, Databricks, Spark, PySpark) processes.

    Excellent communication is key, as well as motivation to learn new technologies as Colliers data management platform evolves over time.

    Two plus years' experience in Azure Data Factory, Azure functions, logic app
    Intermediate to advanced SQL, preferably MS SQL Server and experience in object-oriented programming languages like C#, VB.Net and Python
    Intermediate MS SSIS scripting
    Advanced MS SQL Server Stored Procedures
    MS SQL Server database management, as in building tables and tuning queries and stored procedures
    Data profiling and data quality assessment skills
    Strong technical problem-solving skills and proficiency in trouble shooting issues related to operating systems and application systems.
    A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
    Experience in DevOps and CI/CD
    Knowledge of Master Data Management including matching, survivorship and golden record creation.
    GCP experience including Dataflow, BigQuery, Cloud SQL and Cloud Storage

    You have the ability to work with technical architecture and design teams throughout the organization to turn requirements into solution deliverables.

    You successfully conduct technical requirements reviews with design teams to make sure there is clarity of deliverables and to recommend improvements.

    You develop and build embedded software solutions, sometimes on your own, utilizing internal and external resources to assist or answer questions if needed.

    Design, develop and test code for new software system using programming languages like python, C#, Develop ETL programs using Azure Data Factory, Azure functions, Logic apps, Stored Procedures, SSIS, Databricks and other development tools used by Colliers.

    Design database schema model using Erwin software and design data warehouse architecture for data flow application and implement the schema in SQL Server database.

    Design and develop optimized database architecture for information systems projects and develop optimized data processing scripts to evaluate the performance and reliability of designs.

    Work in both Azure cloud and on-prem SQL Server databases, lead and coordinate with teams of information systems professionals in the development of integrated data center.

    Work in agile environment and develop CI/CD pipelines for automatic installation of data migration pipelines to different environment.
    Work with Different computer systems across various networks and coordinating with Infrastructure teams in deployment activities.

    Automate the code promotion from one environment to other including the production implementation and ensure data quality is consistent across different computer systems.

    Analyze information from different existing systems, Design and Develop master data management solutions using Profisee MDM product.
    Collect and document business users' requirements and develop logical and physical technical specifications document.
    Assess, test, troubleshoot, document, upgrade and develop maintenance procedures for ETL systems and applications software.
    Operate database management systems to analyze data and perform data mining analysis and data profiling activities.
