    About the Job Opportunity
    The role of the Learning and Development Business Partner involves creating and executing training programs to shape a culture that attracts, retains, and empowers employees to excel at all levels. The organization recognizes the significance of offering training and development initiatives to help staff achieve their maximum potential and align with the company's objectives. Responsibilities include designing a manager training program, supporting employees through change, and overseeing career development and orientation programs to enhance employee engagement.

    In collaboration with the Human Resources team, this position is dedicated to implementing and managing programs essential for fostering a positive learning and engagement environment for employees.

    Qualifications

    - Extensive experience in Human Resources and Learning and Development, along with completion of post-secondary education in an Adult Education Program is preferred.
    - Demonstrated track record in roles like Program Manager or Training Manager with exceptional facilitation and presentation abilities.
    - Up-to-date knowledge of effective learning and development methodologies.
    - Proficiency in e-learning platforms and tools, including Articulate 360 and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
    - Successful background in designing and executing impactful learning and development programs.
    - Thorough understanding of adult learning principles and technologies.
    - Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    - Capable of effective collaboration and influencing stakeholders across all organizational levels.
    - Solid project management skills with keen attention to detail.
    - Skilled in driving continuous improvement of the company culture to adapt to evolving trends and ensure robust employee engagement.
    - Valid Nova Scotia driver's license, access to a motor vehicle, and willingness to travel throughout designated locations.
    Assets
    - Certification in assessment tools like DiSC or StrengthsFinder is advantageous.
    - Holding a Certified Training and Development Professional (CTDP) or Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation is a plus.
    - Experience in a unionized work environment is beneficial.

    Equivalency
    An equivalent combination of training, education, and experience will be considered. Applicants must demonstrate such equivalencies in their application if applicable.

    Responsibilities
    - Formulate and oversee an organizational learning and development strategy aligned with company objectives, incorporating relevant metrics, innovative practices, and diversity, equity, and inclusion principles.
    - Conduct needs assessments to identify learning gaps within the organization and evaluate program effectiveness.
    - Develop, implement, and assess a comprehensive manager training program catering to both experienced managers and new supervisors.
    - Create and present engaging, evidence-based curricula and internal training sessions using best practices for adult learning.
    - Act as an internal facilitation resource for various company events and meetings.
    - Plan and deliver monthly new employee orientation sessions.

    Salary Range: $79,103.86 annually
    Work Week: 35 hours
