    Work Term: Permanent

    Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year

    Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

    Work Setting: Consulting firm

    Budgetary Responsibility: 0 - $100,000

    Tasks Include:


    1. Administer staff consultation and grievance procedures
    2. Coordinate the activities of the HR department to ensure they meet the organization's goals
    3. Motivate staff
    4. Plan and organize daily operations
    5. Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate human resources policies and programs
    6. Review HR projects to assure compliance with laws and regulations
    7. Train staff
    8. Advise managers and employees on the interpretation of human resources policies, benefit programs, and collective agreements
    9. Establish and implement policies and procedures
    10. Mediate labour disputes and grievances
    11. Oversee the classification and rating of occupations
    12. Plan, develop, and implement recruitment strategies
    13. Research and prepare occupational classifications, job descriptions, and salary scales
    14. Administer benefit employment equity and other human resources programs
    15. Manage contracts
    16. Co-ordinate employee performance and appraisal programs
    17. Manage training and development strategies
    18. Oversee the analysis of employee data and information
    19. Research employee benefits and health and safety practices and recommend changes
    20. Oversee development of communication strategies
    21. Oversee the preparation of reports
    22. Advise senior management
    23. Respond to employee questions and complaints
    24. Hire, train, and supervise staff
    25. Liaise with management, union officials, and HR consultants
    26. Organize staff consultation and grievance procedures
    27. Oversee payroll administration
    28. Provide customer service
    29. Recruit and hire staff
    30. Manage knowledge
    31. Coaching
    32. Conduct performance reviews
    33. Propose improvements to methods, systems, and procedures
    34. Evaluate work environments, programs, and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury
