    They focus on building the best, not the most, and transforming the construction industry. The estimator will prepare full-cost estimates for projects, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

    Reporting to the Senior Management and Estimating Team Lead, the Estimator must maintain a list of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors to establish unit costs, labour rates, productivity factors, and location impacts.

    Dedication to quality –

    Prepare materials, labour and equipment cost estimations necessary to carry out a construction project according to proposals successfully, plans, estimates and specifications.

    Prepare and maintain a list of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors.
    Recommend/reject proposals and negotiate contracts.
    Establish unit costs, labour rates, productivity factors and location impacts.
    Participate and coordinate company risk and opportunity evaluation with clients.
    Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
    Review design options and recommend the best solution based on cost, engineering quality, or availability of materials.
    Assist corporate and project management teams to determine what types of projects to bid on.
    Provide technical assistance in negotiating contracts, change orders, etc. Perform additional assignments per the supervisor's direction.
    Post-secondary degree or diploma in construction/engineering or an appropriate field is preferred.
    Minimum 3 years of experience in ICI estimation with a Construction Manager / General Contractor within the Greater Toronto Area (GTA)
    Experience estimating Institutional - Healthcare, Higher Education, Government - renovation, redevelopment and building addition projects is highly desired
    Ability to read and interpret building specifications, blueprints and as-builds.
    Ability to use cost-estimating software to prepare cost quotes and bids.
    Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (excel, word, etc.)

    • Knowledge of Procore is an asset but not required
    Knowledge of First Aid and CPR an asset.
    Must possess a valid driver's license.
