    Reports To : Executive Director

    RATE OF PAY : $ 27.00 per hour

    WORK HOURS : 35 hours per week

    DBNC is an accredited, non-profit organization providing support services to residents of Mississauga including newcomers to Canada, youth, seniors, and families.     Duties and Responsibilities:

    · Provide administrative management of sensitive and confidential issues to the Executive Director and the Board of Directors of DBNC

    · Prepare information necessary for assigned projects, including researching, collecting, analyzing, and compiling statistical data and information

    · Support writing and applications of grants

    · Compose and prepare a variety of correspondence, reports, and other materials and present to a variety of audiences

    · Review documents and communications for content and accuracy

    · Create, update, and maintain routine spreadsheets, documents, agreements and reporting timelines for all funded portfolios within the organization

    · Lead the implementation of CARF – Continuous Improvement Measures, across the organization and act as a resource and support to staff and Program Managers regarding compliance

    · Support risk mitigation strategies, policy changes, and training initiatives

    · Collaboratively engage with relevant stakeholders at all levels, both internal and external

    · Lead the internal "Client Engagement and Service Review Team" to ensure optimal service levels to all DBNC clients

    · Manage the procurement of office supplies across the organization in conjunction with the Manager – Operations, Administration and IT

    · Contribute to a fair, positive, and equitable environment that supports the ED, the Board of Directors and a diverse workforce

    · Attend and support Board meetings; AGM and other related events

    · Other duties may be assigned as required

    Qualifications:

    · University Degree or related education in Business/Office Administration, H.R. and/or Project Management, with a minimum of 3 years preferably in a complex non-profit environment

    · A passion for gender, racial, economic, and social justice, along with a commitment to DBNC's mission, vision and values

    · Proven experience with the ability to initiate/manage multi-disciplinary projects

    · Good understanding of processes, policies, and procedures required for supporting a non-profit organization

    · Demonstrated experience in developing organizational performance metrics

    · Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary and multicultural team environment

    · Excellent English verbal and written communication skills

    · Critical thinking, interpersonal, decision-making, and problem-solving skills

    · Independent worker who can maintain a flexible schedule (occasional evening and weekend work required)

    · Excellent time management and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.

    · Able to learn new technologies and platforms quickly

    · Excellent interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with internal and external partners, and other community stakeholders

    · Previous experience working with a Board of Directors

    · Strong computer skills in Windows, MS Word, Excel, Email, and the Internet
