    Job Description

    • Department: Computational Biology and Medicine Program
    • Reports to: Principal Investigator
    • Work Model: On-Site
    • Grade: N0:06
    • Hours: 35 hours per week
    • Salary: $60,642 - $75,803 per annum, based on experience
    • Shifts: Monday - Friday
    • Status: Permanent Full-time
    • Closing Date: May 24, 2024

    Position Summary
    The Computational Biology and Medicine Program at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre is at the forefront of cancer research in Canada. They seek a Data Management Specialist to contribute to the management and analysis of biomedical data for research purposes.

    Duties

    • Ensure proper cataloging of new data
    • Manage data system
    • Train staff on data practices
    • Contribute to system development
    • Assist in data cleaning and curation
    • Facilitate data access applications
    • Improve data management tasks through programming

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree or higher in relevant field with 2+ years of experience, or master's degree with 1+ years
    • Proficiency in R, Python
    • Experience in genomics data analysis
    • Knowledge of NCBI GEO
    • Master's or doctoral degree preferred
    • Experience in database management and programming preferred
    • Knowledge of sequencing repositories and assays preferred
