    Youth Wellness Hubs Ontario Provincial Office (YWHO PO) at The Margaret and Wallace McCain Centre for Child, Youth, & Family Mental Health (CAMH) is recruiting a CH & E Specialist (Evaluator). The Evaluator will report to the Manager of Evaluation at YWHO. The Evaluator will be responsible for supporting the evaluation activities at YWHO sites across the province in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team of evaluators, implementation specialists, youth engagement coordinators, health equity specialists, and provincial youth and family advisories.

    The Evaluator will work collaboratively across multiple teams and sites to provide an integrated, standardized, coordinated approach to the evaluation of the YWHO model.

    Responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing feasible, efficient, and sustainable evaluation plans for work connected to the implementation of the YWHO model at sites across the province using a variety of different evaluation tools (such as logic models, theories of change, frameworks, indicator development, data support systems and reporting tools) and approaches (such as developmental, formative and summative).
  • Using and/or developing culturally-relevant evaluation approaches, methods, and dissemination strategies –when working with priority populations (e.g., First Nations, Inuit, and Métis, Francophone, racialized and marginalized communities etc.).
  • Facilitating group-based dialogue and decision-making with diverse stakeholder groups with various levels of evaluation and sector literacy.
  • Linking evaluation findings with continuous quality improvement to inform implementation planning and coaching to sustainable practice and system change.
  • Engaging and working with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Preparing evaluation materials (e.g., data summaries, evaluation reports).
  • Developing methods for and coordinating the collection and management of qualitative and quantitative data (e.g. protocol development, survey development, interview and focus group guides, data storage and quality assurance, coding, analyses, data visualization).
  • Analyze and visualize complex data to derive data-driven insights, tell impactful stories and support evaluation activities.
  • Providing and building capacity to sustain system-level and provider level evaluation.
  • Qualifications:

    The successful candidate will have a Master's and/or equivalent in Social or Behavioral Sciences, Health Services Research, or Public Health with a minimum of three (3) years of related experience in the field of health services and specific experience in mental health and/or addictions services. Evaluation experience in Integrated Youth Services (IYS), mental health, youth populations preferably, fidelity assessment, as well evaluation experience within community-based settings, is considered a strong asset. They will have experience facilitating group-based dialogue and decision-making with diverse stakeholder groups with various levels of evaluation literacy. The Evaluator will have experience developing evaluation frameworks, logic models, indicators, and reporting tools. They will have an understanding of and experience with using or developing culturally-relevant evaluation approaches methods, and dissemination strategies –when working with priority populations (e.g., First Nations, Inuit, and Métis, Francophone, racialized and marginalized communities, etc.). The Evaluator must demonstrate creative problem-solving abilities and organizational skills with the ability to adapt to dynamic project needs. The Evaluator will have strong skills related to data storage and management, quality assurance, coding, analyses, and data visualization. The candidate will have advanced proficiency in R and experience with qualitative software (e.g., NVIVO). The candidate must also have experience with measurement-based care data platforms, and experience with data collection in remote settings. The successful candidate must have a proven ability to write evaluation findings for a variety of different audiences; and the ability to formulate materials suitable for wider audiences is required. The successful candidate will possess strong interpersonal communication (oral/written) and community engagement skills . The successful candidate is able to work independently as well as collaboratively with a diverse team. The Evaluator will be committed to being respectful, ethical, culturally-sensitive, and mindful of necessary practices related to evaluation. They will support a healthy workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork and complies with all applicable and regulatory requirements. Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required. Fluent bilingualism (French/English) is also an asset.

    This position is located within the GTA and is mostly remote.
