    Senior Industrial Engineer-Supply Chain

    Are you passionate about driving operational efficiency and process improvement?

    As a senior industrial engineer-supply chain , you will be responsible for providing engineering support to Best Buy's Canadian's distribution center in Brampton .

    In this role, the successful candidate needs to be onsite at our Brampton, ON distribution center.

    Make a difference on our Engineering team as a senior industrial engineer- supply chain

    What you'll do:

  • Analyze space and capacity of facilities with current and forecasted volumes to determine utilization rates and recommend adjustments to footprints
  • Lead and manage Kaizen project requests (e.g. 5S, value stream mapping, A3 problem solving, DMAIC, etc.)
  • Evaluate and implement improvements related to all distribution center processes, and material handling changes for configuration, reverse logistics, automated systems, and fulfillment operations
  • Drive a lean thinking mentality throughout the DC via training, project accomplishments and recognition
  • Manage projects related to facility layout and design, relocation, new process integration, process revisions, technology deployment, labor modeling, and other related efficiency and waste reduction initiatives
  • Ensure network automations meet desired throughput, identifying and fixing root causes for deviations
  • Lead a team of analysts and/or engineers to manage key KPIs and develop SOPs
  • Collaborate with vendors/contractors on new contracts, negotiations for automation and optimization opportunities

    • What we're looking for:

  • 3-5 years of engineering experience in manufacturing, logistics or distribution filed
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Green belt or black belt certification in lean six sigma methodologies
  • Experience with AutoCAD, simulation application (FlexSim, etc), lean principles, automation solutions, reliability engineering programs (preventive maintenance)
  • Experience in Data analytics, BI (Tableau, PowerBI), and statistics preferred
